The new Team Status
Teams now exist under three different status, these are:
| Status | Meaning | ...in short |
| Draft |
| Club says 'I'm still working out my team' |
| Official |
| Club says 'My team allocation is sorted, it's ready to be locked' |
| Locked |
| Association says 'This team is locked in for the season...unless I want to change it' |
NOTE: The functionality to Lock teams is only available to Associations, it is not available to either Member Federations with clubs linked directly to them in the organisational hierarchy OR organisations set up as Affiliates. See Known areas for future development section at the foot of this page
Team status can be denoted via the Team Management page for your club

It is expected process for managing Team allocation for a competition will run per this example:
| Step | Phase | Info |
| 1 | Preparation | Teams are created for the new season (rolled over/created/adjusted) |
| 2 | Preparation | The Association (Comp Admin) communicates a deadline for all teams to be ‘Made Official’. Note: this is communicated in training to clubs, not through the system |
| 3 | Allocation | Participants register |
| 4 | Allocation | Players are allocated to a team |
| 5 | Allocation | Non-Players are allocated to a team |
| 6 | Allocation | Teams are now held in a ‘Draft’ status |
| 7 | Team Locking | (in advance of deadline day) Teams need to be made ‘Official’ by the club. This means all registrants now need to be made active |
| 8 | Team Locking | The Association will then ‘Lock’ the teams, preventing any movement of registrants within the teams by the Club Admin. Associations can amend teams as normal |
| 9 | Auto Removal | Any de-registrations of members in the team will automatically remove the member from the team |
